Columbia
Township offers
an annual leaf collection program to Township residents. Leaf
collection begins the week of October 20 and continues
through December 31. The Maintenance Crew makes regular
passes through the Township, unless trucks are needed to clear
the roads of snow or ice. Since
we cannot predict the weather nor how long each pass through the Township will take, we cannot schedule a specific pick-up
day in an area. Leaves should be placed in piles between the curb and the
sidewalk. Due to
clogging of the storm drains, PLEASE DO NOT PUT
LEAVES IN THE STREET.
After December
31 , residents can bag their leaves at any time and Rumpke will pick
them up on trash day at the curb.
(Dates and information
are subject to change.)

Please
call 911 for emergencies. A police emergency is any
crime in progress or that has just occurred. This does not include thefts
that occurred during the night and were not discovered until morning, loud
music or improperly parked cars, or any other violations that do not
involve the immediate loss of property or injury to a person. 911
is also for reporting fires or any medical emergency.
The
non-emergency telephone number is (513) 825-1500.
Along
with basic police services, the district also provides Community
Oriented Policing Programs, such as Blockwatch, Senior
Outreach, and Business Protection Programs, which enhance the public
safety and awareness of our residents. The district is also heavily
involved in D.A.R.E. programs at all levels, including elementary, junior
high and high school students.
